- Photos and messages you send through WhatsApp or email.
- Records connected with quotes, jobs, payments and waste/scrap transactions where required.
- Basic technical/server logs that may be generated by the website hosting provider, such as IP address, browser information and request timestamps.
Why we use it
We use customer information to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, arrange and provide collections, take payment, keep appropriate business records, meet waste or scrap-metal record-keeping obligations where they apply, prevent fraud/misuse and respond to complaints or legal requests.
Our lawful bases
Depending on the situation, we process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business and responding to customers.
Who we may share information with
Information may be handled by service providers used to run the business, such as website hosting, email, WhatsApp/Meta and payment/banking providers. We do not sell customer personal information.
WhatsApp and external services
The quote and booking tools on this website open WhatsApp with a message prepared on your device. The current website does not receive or store that form submission itself. You can review this privacy notice before deciding whether to send the message. If you send it, WhatsApp processes the communication under its own privacy terms. External service providers may process information outside the UK under their own safeguards and policies.
How long we keep information
Unsuccessful or inactive enquiry information is normally kept only as long as reasonably needed to manage the enquiry, generally up to 12 months. Records relating to completed work, payments, tax/accounting, waste movements or scrap-metal transactions may need to be kept longer to meet legal, tax, insurance or licensing requirements. Where a specific statutory retention period applies, we follow it.
